Focus on developing quantum solution packages, integrating quantum algorithms into end-to-end customer workflows, co-designing quantum computers for customer use cases, and building intellectual property.
Location: Onsite in Gothenburg, Sweden; 10% domestic and international travel.

What you will do
- Lead the Gothenburg quantum application development center and establish a culture of customer success and innovation.
- Build, hire, manage, and grow the Sweden/Nordics applications team.
- Develop practical hybrid quantum solutions and solution packages for customer and partner use cases.
- Establish customer engagements and strategies for quantum solutions across multiple industry verticals.
- Collaborate with technical, product, sales, marketing, and operations teams to commercialize quantum products and integrate algorithms into end-to-end workflows.
- Develop quantum applications intellectual property and represent the group at academic, industry, and local events.
Requirements
- 12+ years of technical R&D experience developing algorithms and/or computational applications.
- 4+ years leading consultative customer engagements.
- Operational knowledge of quantum computing capabilities.
- 5+ years managing deeply technical teams and bringing R&D solutions to market.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and innovation through deployed solutions, commercial licenses, publications, and/or patents.
- Ability to work onsite in Gothenburg, Sweden; the role may involve access to technology subject to U.S. export control and government contract restrictions.
Nice to have
- Ph.D. in chemistry, computer science, engineering, physics, or a related field.
- Experience commercializing radically new technologies and leading global collaborations.
- Experience delivering quantum computing solutions.
- Domain expertise in computational or quantum chemistry, biopharma, or optimization.
