Executive Vice President, Operations (Space & Defense)

Location: Onsite in Long Beach, California, or the Denver Metro Area, Colorado; travel up to 35% may be required.

Salary: $280,000–$330,000 USD base salary annually, plus incentive plan eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead and scale production, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, facilities, safety, and enterprise systems.
• Drive on-time, on-cost product delivery in line with growth objectives and customer commitments.
• Develop operational strategies, processes, facilities, and production capacity for rapid scaling.
• Oversee supplier selection, onboarding, performance management, and national security compliance.
• Integrate manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and other enterprise systems for planning and forecasting.
• Build and develop high-performing operations teams while supporting strategic bids, partnerships, customer engagements, audits, and executive initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, supply chain, business, or a related field.
• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in aerospace, defense, or a comparable high-reliability manufacturing environment.
• 10+ years of experience across manufacturing, operations, or supply chain organizations.
• Experience scaling production and managing end-to-end manufacturing and supply chain performance across cost, schedule, and quality.
• Hands-on experience with ERP or enterprise systems in a production environment.
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree such as an MBA or relevant master’s degree.
• Experience with quality systems, government contracting, defense programs, and national security compliance.
• Experience establishing manufacturing facilities, production lines, and complex integrated systems.
• Experience engaging with boards, investors, executive stakeholders, and key customers.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
