TL;DR
Data Engineer (SQL/Python): Building reliable and scalable data pipelines, models, and transformations for business reporting, analytics, and decision-making with an accent on data integration, quality, and cloud-based architectures. Location: Split, Croatia; hybrid work model with in-person collaboration, remote work, and flexible working hours.

What you will do
- Build and maintain scalable pipelines from internal systems, APIs, and external platforms into the central data ecosystem.
- Deliver reliable datasets for BI, reporting, analytics, and business decision-making.
- Translate business and technical requirements into sustainable data models and transformation logic.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize ETL workflows and data processing.
- Use SQL and Python to prepare, validate, and transform structured and unstructured data.
- Document data flows and governance standards while collaborating on multiple projects in an agile environment.
Requirements
- 3–8 years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data warehousing.
- Strong practical knowledge of SQL and Python.
- Experience with data warehouses, dimensional modeling, data lifecycle management, and multi-system integrations.
- Familiarity with ETL technologies, data integration solutions, and cloud-based data architectures.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Fluent English, written and spoken, is required.
Nice to have
- Experience with Spark, Hive, or Kafka.
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality management, or agile delivery.
- Exposure to BI tools, reporting workflows, or dashboard development.
- Interest or experience in AI-enabled analytics, machine learning workflows, or intelligent data platforms.
