Graduate Software Developer (Python/C++)

Location: London, Montreal, or Singapore

Minimum base salary: $100,000 annually if located in New York; discretionary bonuses and benefits may also apply.

Develop trading and research software systems, including performance-sensitive backends, data platforms, and web applications supporting trading operations.

What you will do

• Build and maintain Python tooling, libraries, frameworks, services, and data-driven applications.
• Develop data pipelines and systems that support predictive models in research and trading.
• Design and implement high-performance, low-latency C++ trading systems and market data solutions.
• Build distributed, massively parallel applications and frameworks that process high volumes of data.
• Develop React and TypeScript dashboards and web applications for research and trading platforms.
• Collaborate in small groups with experienced colleagues across the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related degree with a strong software development focus.
• Proficiency in at least one core language or technology: Python, C++, KDB+/q, JavaScript, TypeScript, or React.
• Software development experience from commercial work or personal projects.
• Knowledge of Linux and version control systems, including Git.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn continuously and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in more than one core programming language or technology.
• Experience in the hedge fund or broader finance industry.
• Demonstrable experience with Git and Linux.
