Accounts Payable Lead - Finance Shared Services (Accounts Payable/Finance): Supervising invoice processing, payments, employee expenses, reconciliations, and AP reporting with an accent on internal controls, compliance, and operational accuracy. Focus on leading the AP and expense teams, resolving escalations, improving automation and processes, and managing performance, coverage, and development in a high-volume multinational environment.
Location: Colombo, Western Province, Sri Lanka; hybrid work opportunities are available.

What you will do
- Supervise daily accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, approvals, payment runs, and employee expense reimbursements.
- Review invoices, payment requests, expense reports, and supporting documentation for accuracy and policy compliance.
- Handle escalated vendor, employee, and internal department inquiries, disputes, and payment discrepancies.
- Oversee workload planning, attendance, shift coverage, productivity, and reimbursement timelines for the AP and expense teams.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities, account reconciliations, AP aging reports, vendor statement reconciliations, and audit documentation.
- Lead coaching, onboarding, performance management, process improvements, automation initiatives, and system upgrade projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in accounts payable or a related function, including experience with AP processes and systems.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable principles, internal controls, compliance standards, and financial reconciliations.
- Experience leading or mentoring AP or finance team members, including coaching and performance management.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills for reporting and analysis, along with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment or multinational organization, with strong communication skills for vendor and internal stakeholder collaboration.
