IT Manager 2 (MES)

What you will do

• Own the Caswell PROMIS MES environment, ensuring reliability, availability, performance, support, and lifecycle management for 24x7 manufacturing operations.
• Lead the MES IT team, including engineers, developers, analysts, and support resources, while managing priorities, capability development, succession planning, and knowledge transfer.
• Oversee PROMIS MES on VAX/VMS and support its migration to Linux and Oracle, including Datalink, Interactive Scripts, ODS, DCL scripts, batch processes, and manufacturing interfaces.
• Manage production incidents, root-cause analysis, change management, testing, deployment, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Automation, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and enterprise IT teams to deliver reliable manufacturing systems and integrations.
• Develop and execute the MES technology lifecycle, modernization, migration, and transformation roadmap while maintaining uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience with MES, manufacturing applications, or factory automation in semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing.
• 5+ years of experience leading technical, MES, application support, or manufacturing IT teams.
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, MES workflows, architecture, manufacturing data flows, equipment integration, and enterprise system integration.
• Experience with PROMIS MES, preferably in VAX/VMS environments, including Datalink, Interactive Scripts, ODS, monitoring, and administration.
• Working knowledge of OpenVMS/VAX environments and DCL scripting, along with experience supporting mission-critical 24x7 production systems.
• Experience with production incident management, application lifecycle management, change management, disaster recovery, business continuity, and stakeholder management.

Nice to have

• Experience with Oracle SQL, Linux, modern server environments, and manufacturing databases.
• Experience integrating MES with ERP, engineering, quality, equipment automation, and data platforms.
• Experience leading MES migrations, modernization programs, or legacy manufacturing system transformations.
• Experience managing vendors, contractors, and technology partners.
• Knowledge of manufacturing OT cybersecurity controls and ITIL or similar service-management practices.
