Principal Engineering Manager

Location: Fully remote within EMEA; available locations are Estonia, Poland, Spain, and Romania. An office option is available in Riga, Latvia.

What you will do

• Lead an engineering team through clear direction, context, feedback, and ongoing development.
• Partner with Product and Design from the earliest stages to shape solutions and clarify complex problem spaces.
• Own delivery from problem definition through execution, maintaining alignment, momentum, and realistic expectations.
• Drive transparent and predictable execution by planning effectively and communicating progress and risks.
• Maintain high standards for engineering quality, scalability, maintainability, and sustainable delivery.
• Contribute to broader engineering improvements through collaboration and technical leadership.

Requirements

• Significant experience leading engineering teams within a product company.
• A strong track record of delivering complex products or systems in a fast-moving environment.
• Ability to contribute effectively to both technical and product discussions.
• Strong ownership mindset and the ability to create clarity in ambiguous situations.
• Experience partnering closely with Product and Design.
• Clear communication skills and a practical, execution-oriented leadership approach.

Nice to have

• Practical experience using LLMs and coding assistants for implementation, testing, debugging, documentation, and code quality.
