Digital Developer (Frontend) Consultant (React)

Location: Hybrid working model in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

What you will do

• Build and enhance customer-facing digital applications such as quote-and-buy journeys, self-service portals, and agent or broker portals.
• Implement interfaces with Jutro, React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS based on UX designs, technical specifications, and user stories.
• Integrate applications with InsuranceSuite and other backend systems through RESTful APIs, SDKs, and configuration.
• Configure and extend Jutro components, schemas, and design tokens for customer brands, products, and business rules.
• Write clean, testable, and performant code; maintain unit tests and resolve defects through development, UAT, stabilization, and warranty phases.
• Collaborate with UX designers, business analysts, architects, QA, integration teams, and core product teams in an agile delivery environment.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in frontend or full-stack web development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript and a modern frontend framework, ideally React.
• Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, responsive layouts, and component-based UI architectures.
• Experience consuming and handling RESTful APIs, including responses, errors, and authentication.
• Experience with enterprise or B2B web applications, complex business logic, source control, CI/CD, and agile teamwork.
• Good verbal and written English communication skills are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with the Jutro Digital Platform or other design-system-driven and schema-based frameworks.
• Experience with Jest, React Testing Library, cloud-native development, containers, or DevOps tooling.
• Knowledge of insurance, financial services, regulated industries, or P&C insurance concepts.
• Prior consulting or implementation project experience with external customers.
