Staff Machine Learning Scientist (AI)

Location: Tallinn, Estonia; hybrid work with attendance at the local office for part of the week

What you will do

• Design, develop, and implement machine learning models and algorithms for AI-driven customer service features.
• Propose and prototype generative AI features that solve customer problems.
• Apply recent ML techniques, including information retrieval, prompt engineering, and LLMs.
• Collaborate with ML engineers, software engineers, product managers, and UX teams.
• Improve the quality and robustness of hirify.global AI capabilities and production ML applications.
• Mentor junior colleagues and establish high standards for ML-powered applications.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python and strong code hygiene.
• Solid knowledge of statistical analysis, data mining, predictive modeling, and supervised or unsupervised machine learning.
• Track record of deploying models to production.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical audiences.
• Independence, planning, and time-management skills for focused research and development work.
• Experience with machine learning and AI technologies; LLM experience is advantageous.

Nice to have

• MSc or PhD in computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related analytical or technical field.
