Product Manager, Clearing Systems (Fintech)

What you will do

• Own the product strategy, architecture, and lifecycle for clearing infrastructure covering accounts, positions, balances, ledgers, journals, settlements, stock records, and regulatory books and records.
• Design multi-currency cash and position systems for equities, FX, fractional shares, options, bonds, Treasuries, fixed income, and mutual funds.
• Partner with engineering teams to prototype and build scalable clearing services and modernize self-clearing infrastructure.
• Translate clearing, custody, regulatory, and operational requirements into product strategies, technical requirements, system designs, and delivery priorities.
• Develop systems supporting reconciliation, settlement, asset movement, custody, cash management, and regulatory controls.
• Lead senior teams and align engineering, operations, finance, treasury, compliance, legal, risk, and product stakeholders.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in brokerage, clearing, custody, prime brokerage, trading infrastructure, capital markets technology, or a related domain.
• 5+ years of experience in product management, technical program management, or engineering focused on brokerage, clearing, post-trade, or financial infrastructure.
• Expertise in at least one major clearing domain, such as settlement and stock record, books and records, corporate actions, margin, ACATS, or DTCC processing.
• Strong technical depth and experience translating complex financial and regulatory requirements into scalable system architectures.
• Experience in regulated broker-dealer environments and collaboration with compliance, legal, operations, risk, and other control functions.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with global brokerage expansion, international equities, FX, local-market custody, omnibus models, sub-ledgers, or currency controls.
• Experience modernizing corporate-action processing, security master systems, or self-clearing back-office infrastructure.
• Familiarity with correspondent, broker-as-a-service, or B2B2C financial models.
• Experience using AI tools such as Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, or custom agents for product work.
