Senior Engineer - Controls

Location: Kaunas, Lithuania

Salary: €2,700–€4,100 gross per month

What you will do

• Troubleshoot equipment and controls issues, implement corrective actions, and recommend preventive measures.
• Lead and participate in machine improvement and capacity-expansion projects.
• Develop, modify, debug, document, and back up PLC programs.
• Execute test protocols and manage software change-control processes.
• Analyze automated-equipment data using tools such as Ignition to identify performance and predictive insights.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, provide technical training, and mentor less experienced engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Controls, Mechatronics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5–8 years of relevant engineering experience in automated or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Hands-on experience commissioning, debugging, and optimizing automated equipment.
• Experience with PLC platforms such as Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, or B&R.
• Experience with industrial networks, robotics, servo motion systems, machine vision, and automation safety systems.
• Familiarity with SCADA systems, preferably Ignition, plus strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or other regulated industries.
• Master’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Formal project engineering or project management experience, including FMEA and structured methodologies.
