Senior Security Engineer (AWS Cloud)

What you will do

• Identify security gaps across AWS cloud and on-premise/data center environments and lead remediation initiatives.
• Manage cloud-native security monitoring, threat detection, posture management, identity governance, and access controls.
• Design encryption policies, perform access reviews, and enforce least-privilege principles and organizational guardrails.
• Own vulnerability management, server hardening, patching, security baselines, and container security.
• Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline security processes.
• Participate in incident response, investigations, and root cause analysis.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in cloud security, with working knowledge of on-premise and data center security.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS, infrastructure and cloud architecture, development, support, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with identity and access management platforms, access governance, and security posture assessment tools.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, SOC 2, and PCI-DSS compliance frameworks.
• Experience securing and hardening Linux and Windows server environments, including patching and baseline implementation.
• Strong independent ownership, analytical problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure or GCP.
• Container orchestration security, secrets management, Zero Trust architecture, and risk-based authentication.
• Scripting and automation proficiency, web3 or blockchain familiarity, and relevant security certifications.
