Lead Institutional Services Automation Quality Control Analyst (QA Automation)

Location: Hybrid, 4 days in office within M&T's footprint in Wilmington, Delaware; remote flexibility is available if based outside the M&T footprint.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable UI, API, integration, performance, and load-test automation frameworks.
• Define test automation strategy, tooling, scripting, architecture, reusable test harnesses, and data-driven test design.
• Automate validation of deal and lender setup, trade processing, loan lifecycle servicing, cash flow management, and reporting workflows.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with development and product teams on architecture, requirements, sprint planning, and acceptance criteria.
• Review code and test scripts, manage test data and environments, monitor automation KPIs, and publish feature-level coverage reports.
• Identify defects and operational risks, support performance and security testing, maintain internal controls, and provide technical guidance to less experienced teammates.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or the stated equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 3 years of software quality assurance and control experience creating and maintaining test scripts for desktop, web, API, and web-services applications.
• At least 2 years in a test automation architect or similar role, with strong programming skills and hands-on experience with modern automation frameworks.
• Required hands-on experience testing fat-client applications, including complex UI, local processing, and integration validation.
• Knowledge of quality-control methodologies, Agile and DevOps practices, defect tracking, and pertinent performance and load-testing tools.
• Work authorization must be secured and maintained without company visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Eight or more years of software quality assurance and control experience.
• Cloud application and API testing experience, ISTQB or similar certification, and exposure to security testing.
• Strong Loan IQ domain expertise covering loan agency integrations, deal and facility setup, trade processing, loan servicing, and cash flow operations.
• Experience with RightClick automation, fintech platforms, modern integration patterns, and AI-assisted testing or intelligent automation.
