Sr. New Product Development Engineer, ICP (Circuit Protection)

Salary: $88,500–$137,100 per year, depending on location, skills, knowledge, and experience.

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, testing, validation, and commercialization of new circuit protection products.
• Develop product concepts, prototypes, engineering solutions, mechanical specifications, drawings, documentation, and cost estimates.
• Create and execute verification and validation plans, analyze test results, and improve product performance.
• Research new materials, technologies, and industry trends; procure samples, build prototypes, and test design concepts.
• Drive cost reduction, product optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, engineering, leadership, and customers to support product launches and application-specific solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
• At least 10 years of experience designing electrical power fuses, fuse accessories, or related circuit protection products.
• Strong knowledge of fuse design principles, circuit protection technologies, industry standards, and third-party certification requirements such as UL.
• Experience in manufacturing environments, product industrialization, project management, product testing, and technical problem-solving.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar 2D/3D CAD software, plus Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to collaborate across engineering, operations, quality, customer-facing, and global cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Medium Voltage Fuse experience.
