Sr Controls Technician (HVAC)

Location: Louisville, Kentucky, United States; customer-site work and collaboration from the local office when not engaging with customers.

Salary: $21.71–$37.99 per hour

What you will do

• Commission, program, configure graphics and communications links, perform end-to-end testing, troubleshoot, and service assigned controls projects.
• Document point-to-point verification, sequence-of-operations validation, and project closeout requirements.
• Serve as the direct customer contact and diagnose and repair equipment and direct digital control systems at customer locations.
• Coordinate with the team leader and customers on installation and repair requirements, building layouts, materials, and on-site work.
• Maintain current knowledge of Trane product installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair.
• Follow high safety standards and remain available for overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight stays.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or an accredited technical-school completion certificate.
• Typically at least 7 years of HVAC or controls experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and handheld computers such as smartphones or iPads.
• Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months with no major or frequent recent traffic violations.
• Previous experience with DDC control systems is preferred.
