Construction Manager, Cost Engineer

Location: San Francisco, California, United States; on-site. Travel to multiple project sites may be required, up to 30%.

Salary: $160,000–$175,000 base salary annually, plus bonus and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Lead cost estimation by reviewing project plans and specifications and developing reliable project cost estimates.
• Manage cost control measures throughout complex construction project lifecycles.
• Review and validate vendor quotes and subcontractor bids against project scope and cost expectations.
• Partner with project managers, engineers, and senior leadership on cost optimization and long-term budget planning.
• Improve internal cost estimation, reporting, and cost control processes.
• Support delivery of complex hyperscale AI data center projects across multiple sites.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in cost engineering, cost management, or estimating.
• Experience in the energy, construction, or technology sectors.
• Experience managing project budgets and cost reporting for complex infrastructure or real estate projects.
• Ability to adapt to changes in project scope, requirements, and cost structures.
• Willingness to travel as needed, up to 30%.
