TL;DR
Venture Designer (Venture Building): Creating and validating venture concepts from corporate investment themes through market research, human-centred design, prototyping, and user testing with an accent on strategic analysis and evidence-backed decision-making. Focus on designing rapid experiments, narrowing opportunities into venture-backable propositions, and presenting recommendations to an Investment Committee.

What you will do
- Own end-to-end venture design sprints from investment themes to validated venture concepts.
- Break down themes into problem spaces and opportunity areas through market and competitive research.
- Generate venture concepts using human-centred design principles and real user needs.
- Design and run rapid experiments, including A/B tests, prototype tests, landing page tests, concierge MVPs, and user interviews.
- Synthesise evidence into recommendations and present shortlisted concepts to the Investment Committee.
- Collaborate with Venture Designers, Venture Builders, investors, functional specialists, and corporate partners while tracking emerging technologies and market shifts.
Requirements
- Experience in 0→1 concept development, venture design, or a similar role taking ideas from opportunity spaces to validated propositions.
- Strong strategic thinking, bias for action, and comfort moving between high-level analysis and rapid experimentation.
- Experience with market research, competitive analysis, and developing views on market direction.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills for presenting complex findings to senior stakeholders.
- Curiosity, creativity, disciplined prioritisation, and comfort with ambiguity and a fast-paced sprint format.
Nice to have
- Fluency in German.
- Experience in an innovation, venture studio, or venture builder environment.
- Experience working with corporate partners and navigating stakeholder dynamics.
- Familiarity with Figma and no-code or low-code prototyping tools.
- Knowledge of business model design, unit economics, or multiple sectors such as fintech, healthtech, sustainability, or consumer.
