Senior Risk Analyst (Fintech)

Polymarket operates a peer-to-peer prediction market platform and is building a U.S. regulated exchange.

What you will do

• Build and maintain the risk governance framework for the U.S. Exchange business, including risk and control self-assessments, tolerance thresholds, incident capture, and reporting cadences.
• Draft, revise, and own risk policies, procedures, and the risk register as regulatory requirements evolve.
• Partner with trading, product, legal, and operations to identify risk issues, assess exposure, and drive practical resolutions.
• Assess the business against the Enterprise Risk Management framework and identify gaps before they become incidents.
• Maintain clear ownership of risk decisions and hold stakeholders accountable to defined risk processes.
• Monitor the regulatory and market environment relevant to U.S. exchange operations and recommend policy or process responses.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in risk management, compliance, or audit within financial services, specifically capital markets.
• Direct front-office or middle-office capital markets trading experience covering equities and/or equity derivatives.
• Experience implementing a risk management framework inside a regulated organization.
• Experience working with trading or front-office leaders to assess risk issues and propose practical solutions.
• Ability to drive decisions across product, legal, and operations without formal authority.
• Strong written communication skills for governance documents, policies, and risk committee materials.

Nice to have

• Experience at a broker-dealer, futures commission merchant, or regulated exchange.
• Familiarity with CFTC or SEC regulatory frameworks relevant to exchange operations.
• Experience at a startup or high-growth fintech building processes from scratch.
