Strong Software Engineers (Rust)

Location: Remote; must be able to work within the CET timezone

hirify.global is building a system that represents domain knowledge as modular probabilistic models for applications in finance and scientific research.

What you will do

• Build and maintain a robust, scalable backend hosting the reasoning engine.
• Define features and fixes based on overall product objectives and deliver them end to end.
• Develop implementation strategies and write design documents for complex problems.
• Write clean, performant code for scalable services, databases, networking, and distributed computing architectures.
• Implement observability across the stack and contribute to reliable CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with teammates, share expertise, and help others deliver their goals.

Requirements

• Commercial software engineering experience in collaborative environments with large codebases.
• Experience with CI/CD, testing, and code reviews.
• Experience with functional or typed languages such as Rust, OCaml, Clojure, C++, or Haskell, plus willingness to work with Julia and TypeScript.
• Experience developing scalable services involving databases, networking, and computing across architectures.
• Experience implementing observability across the technology stack.
• Ability to work within the CET timezone.

Nice to have

• Experience hosting machine learning models or other computationally heavy services.
• Experience developing infrastructure with Terraform and Kubernetes.
