What you will do
- Commission, program, configure graphics and communications links, test, troubleshoot, and service HVAC control systems on assigned projects.
- Document point-to-point verification, sequence-of-operations validation, and project close-out requirements.
- Serve as the direct customer contact while diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems at customer locations.
- Coordinate with team leaders and customers on installation and repair requirements, materials, scheduling, and potential issues.
- Maintain current knowledge of Trane products, including installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair of direct digital control systems.
- Follow strict safety and asset-accountability procedures and remain flexible to work overtime, including occasional overnight stays.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or formal training is preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience with HVAC controls systems, including commissioning and programming.
- Previous experience with DDC control systems; Niagara experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and handheld devices such as smartphones and iPads.
- Valid driver's license held for at least 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations or preventable collisions in the previous three years.
- Ability to work safely at customer sites, including rooftops and ladders, wear required protective equipment, handle physical duties, and work in variable weather and other hazardous conditions.
