Field Services Engineer (IT Infrastructure)

Location: Bolingbrook, Illinois, United States; onsite work at local customer locations

Salary: $60,000–$70,000 base per year

What you will do

• Perform onsite Business Transformation Assessments, including IT asset discovery, information gathering, physical review, and documentation.
• Implement, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Remote Desktop Services, and server infrastructure.
• Configure and support virtualization, storage, backup, networking, firewalls, switches, and cloud environments including Office 365, G-Suite, and Azure.
• Resolve customer computing and infrastructure issues onsite while documenting labor, network status, and activities in the ticketing system.
• Collaborate with the Service Desk, Technical Operations Center, Operations teams, internal engineers, third-party vendors, and line-of-business application providers.
• Support client onboarding, maintenance plans, incident management, and ongoing customer and vendor relationships.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant IT field services experience.
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, Hyper-V, SAN/NAS storage, backup technologies, firewalls, switches, Office 365, Azure, mobile operating systems, and RMM tools.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, customer-service, prioritization, and incident-management skills.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance required.
• Microsoft Fundamentals certification; relevant CompTIA or Microsoft 365 Fundamentals certifications are applicable.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of application.

Nice to have

• Managed services provider experience.
• ITIL and service management experience.
• Knowledge of HaloPSA and event, incident, change, and request management systems.
