Technical Engineering Lead (AI)

Location: Hybrid working in Budapest, Hungary, with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office. Office: Váci út 144-150, 1138 Hungary.

What you will do

• Lead the squad in bringing next-generation tracking products through field trials and commercial launch.
• Shape an AI-first engineering culture based on AI delegation and augmentation.
• Establish and manage the agentic development environment within security and intellectual property guardrails.
• Build development plans, lead engineering hiring, and recruit talent experienced in agentic development at scale.
• Translate product vision into backlogs, sprint plans, execution roadmaps, and human-in-the-loop quality gates.
• Line-manage senior engineers, support career development, and partner with product leadership and the Technical Authority on architecture and delivery.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading engineering teams through continuous delivery and structured execution.
• Strong full-stack or platform engineering background, including data pipelines and edge-to-cloud compute architecture.
• Deep practical experience using AI-assisted and agentic development tools as a default workflow.
• Strong balance of engineering excellence, product thinking, commercial impact, and ownership.
• Empathetic, growth-oriented leadership style with experience building and mentoring high-performing teams.
