Senior QA Engineer

Location: Hybrid in Ljubljana, Slovenia

What you will do

• Shape QA architecture, testing standards, quality gates, and quality practices across multiple projects.
• Define risk-based testing strategies and oversee the QA lifecycle from planning through release sign-off.
• Design, build, and maintain automated web and API test frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines and improve existing test environments.
• Partner with developers, architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to embed quality into design and delivery.
• Mentor QA colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement and responsible AI-enabled QA workflows.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in software quality assurance, test automation, and leading QA activities in complex projects.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript for web and API test automation.
• Experience integrating testing into modern CI/CD workflows and troubleshooting distributed systems.
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP, and JSON.
• Experience with TestRail, Jira, Confluence, or comparable test management and collaboration tools.
• Very good written and spoken English and Slovenian.
