Head of Material Planning (Automotive)

What you will do

• Lead material planning and inventory management to maintain uninterrupted material availability for production.
• Anticipate supply risks, implement mitigation plans, and minimize disruptions caused by shortages or supply constraints.
• Build and develop a planning organization focused on accountability, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making.
• Drive inventory optimization, stock accuracy, turnover, and proactive management of critical materials.
• Provide performance reporting, escalate risks, and communicate potential impacts on customer delivery schedules.
• Use SAP PS4, logistics systems, and analytics to improve planning accuracy and supply chain efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or vocational qualification in a technical or economic field.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar leadership role within the automotive industry.
• Strong experience in material planning, inventory management, and supply chain operations.
• Advanced knowledge of SAP, logistics control systems, and Microsoft Excel.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Proven leadership, analytical thinking, proactive problem-solving, and cross-functional influencing skills.
