2D Artist

Location: Jakarta, Indonesia; hybrid working

Independent mobile games studio developing and publishing casual free-to-play games for a global audience.

What you will do

• Create concept art and hand-rendered 2D assets, textures, props, objects, environments, and scenes for the game engine.
• Follow project art requirements, style guidelines, technical specifications, and production schedules.
• Learn and apply new tools and techniques as required by the project.
• Perform initial art and technical quality checks using checklists before submitting assets for review.
• Resolve issues identified by the Team Leader and Art Director and report production difficulties promptly.
• Support Junior Artists with assigned tasks when needed.

Requirements

• Strong portfolio demonstrating painted 2D in-game props and environment art.
• Experience creating 2D assets for a 3D game pipeline.
• Excellent Photoshop skills and solid fundamentals in color, composition, and form.
• Good understanding of architectural forms and the ability to work across different art styles.
• Passion for games and the ability to meet quality expectations and deadlines.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of 3D software.
• Unity experience.
