TL;DR
Senior Software Engineer (Swift) (Apple security apps and Network Extension): Building and maintaining Jamf Trust macOS and iOS applications, including real-time content filtering and a ZTNA packet tunnel client, with an accent on Swift concurrency, modular architecture, and production reliability. Focus on leading projects end to end, diagnosing 24/7 production incidents, improving observability and testing, and mentoring engineers while validating agent-produced code.

Location: Hybrid in Brno, Czech Republic; applicants must be based in the Czech Republic or have sponsorship to live and work there.

What you will do

  • Own projects end to end, including design, coordination, and delivery.
  • Develop and maintain hirify.global Trust macOS and iOS applications, content filtering, ZTNA client functionality, shared Swift packages, and release infrastructure.
  • Participate in weekly first-responder duties and the 24/7 hirify.global Trust incident rota, diagnosing production issues and implementing permanent fixes.
  • Contribute to technical direction, review code, and maintain a high quality bar for agent-produced code.
  • Improve logging, diagnostics, observability, alerting, and verification standards.
  • Mentor less experienced engineers through pairing, reviews, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Professional Swift experience on Apple platforms with production applications shipped to users.
  • Experience with modern Swift concurrency, including async/await, actors, Sendable, strict concurrency checking, and data-race or isolation issues.
  • Experience with Swift Package Manager and modular multi-target package design.
  • Strong testing discipline and protocol-based design for testability.
  • Systems debugging experience, including crash reports, symbolication, process lifecycles, and Apple Instruments profiling.
  • Experience working with coding agents and verifying their output before release, plus senior-level mentoring and technical contribution.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Apple's NetworkExtension framework, including packet tunnel and content filter providers.
  • Knowledge of HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, VPN, and TCP/IP networking.
  • Experience with macOS system extensions, XPC, code signing, provisioning, notarization, Fastlane, and App Store or Developer ID releases.
  • Experience with production observability, incident triage, and CI pipelines that validate agent-produced code.
