Application Manager - Trading Applications & Data Innovation (all genders) (Fintech)

Location: Vienna, Austria; team attendance required at Erste Campus every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Functional staffing time during trading hours and occasional weekend maintenance are required.

Salary: Minimum EUR 62,664 gross per year; actual compensation depends on qualifications and expectations.

What you will do

• Manage and support business-critical trading applications throughout their lifecycle.
• Ensure stable operations, resolve incidents, and improve service quality.
• Work with traders and business stakeholders to optimize processes and user experience.
• Coordinate changes, releases, upgrades, and vendor activities.
• Drive automation, operational excellence, and platform resilience.
• Contribute to data and AI capabilities using Databricks and cloud-based data platforms while collaborating with architects, data engineers, and IT teams.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of IT experience, ideally in application management, production support, or financial services.
• Experience managing applications in Linux and Windows Server environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of application lifecycle management and IT service processes.
• Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, Git, Azure DevOps, GitLab, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and monitoring solutions.
• Excellent English skills and willingness to work at Erste Campus three days per week, during trading hours, with occasional weekend maintenance.

Nice to have

• Experience with trading, capital markets, securities, or banking applications.
• Interest or experience with Databricks, SQL, data engineering, cloud platforms, AI, machine learning, or generative AI.
• German language skills.
