Senior Manager DC (f/m/d) Software Development

What you will do

• Lead, motivate, and develop software developers and system engineers.
• Define the strategic direction for data center and bare metal software development with product owners and stakeholders.
• Oversee the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design through deployment and maintenance.
• Ensure software quality, architecture, performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with data center and bare metal operations to integrate and operate data center applications.
• Identify and mitigate application and implementation risks.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of leadership experience in software development, ideally in a data center or similarly complex technical environment.
• Strong knowledge of modern software development methods, including Agile and Scrum, and programming languages such as Python or Ruby on Rails.
• Understanding of cloud architectures, virtualization, Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code principles.
• Experience designing scalable, highly available, and robust software systems for data centers.
• Excellent written and spoken German and English are required.

• Basic knowledge of network architecture and firewall configurations.
