Commercial Data & Market Intelligence Specialist

Location: Almaty International Airport, Almaty, Kazakhstan; onsite. Working hours: 08:00–17:00.

What you will do

• Collect, clean, consolidate, and analyze commercial, financial, passenger traffic, and operational data.
• Prepare performance reports, management presentations, and interactive dashboards.
• Develop and monitor commercial KPIs, including revenue per passenger, occupancy, sales penetration, budget versus actual, and concessionaire performance.
• Support budgeting, revenue forecasting, scenario analysis, and commercial business cases.
• Conduct market research and benchmark airport prices, products, and services, especially in Food & Beverage and Retail.
• Identify commercial gaps, risks, trends, and revenue-generating opportunities, and prepare the Commercial Aviation Insights Newsletter.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Data Science, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience; 2–4 years in data analysis, business intelligence, commercial analysis, or market research is preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, financial modeling, and TCO calculations.
• Experience with Power BI and strong knowledge of KPIs, forecasting, variance analysis, data visualization, and market benchmarking.
• Professional proficiency in English is required.

Nice to have

• Power Query and SQL experience.
• Experience in airports, aviation, retail, Food & Beverage, real estate, hospitality, or concession management.
• CIPS or CPSM certification.
• Russian and/or Kazakh language skills.
