Workday Functional Consultant (Workday): Delivering configuration, troubleshooting, incident resolution, and controlled change management across a global Workday platform with an accent on system accuracy, data integrity, release readiness, and defect elimination. Focus on configuring business processes, testing bi-annual releases, resolving root causes, and maintaining reliable data, security, reporting, and connected-system integrations.
Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia — hybrid working from the Kuala Lumpur office

What you will do
- Provide technical support and administration across the Workday platform.
- Configure assigned Workday modules and deliver enhancements in line with global design and governance standards.
- Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable system improvements.
- Manage Workday change requests from requirements gathering through testing, deployment, and post-launch support.
- Lead assessment and testing of bi-annual Workday releases and evaluate technical and process impacts.
- Monitor performance, data quality, security, reporting accuracy, automation opportunities, and downstream data flows.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in a Workday Functional role.
- Experience with at least one of the following modules: Recruiting, Learning, or Compensation.
- Strong experience configuring Workday Business Processes, Calculated Fields, EIBs, custom reports, and condition rules.
- In-depth knowledge of Workday data structures, business objects, and reporting frameworks.
- Experience using ServiceNow and Azure DevOps, with knowledge of downstream integrations and data flows.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, problem-solving, and structured governance skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with Workday Security or Integrations.
