Manager of Applied AI Products (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States. Candidates must currently reside in the United States and be authorized to work there without current or future visa sponsorship.

Base salary: $120,000–$145,000 USD annually, excluding an annual bonus where applicable.

What you will do

• Shape the AI roadmap with product leadership by translating provider pain points, clinical workflow gaps, and healthcare data challenges into product opportunities.
• Design, develop, and ship production AI features, including LLM integrations, retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, vector search, and healthcare data workflows.
• Own end-to-end AI architecture across data ingestion, retrieval, APIs, system design, deployment, scalability, reliability, and implementation quality.
• Establish evaluation frameworks for AI performance, clinical utility, reliability, adoption, and business impact.
• Engage with clinicians, health center leaders, administrators, prospects, and clients to validate product direction and communicate AI capabilities.
• Develop AI governance, responsible-use practices, documentation, coaching, and organization-wide AI literacy.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in product engineering, technical product management, or a comparable hands-on hybrid role within B2B SaaS, including at least 3 years building AI or ML-powered features in production.
• Substantial healthcare IT experience in healthcare SaaS, health systems, digital health, or EHR environments, with practical knowledge of clinical workflows.
• Working knowledge of HL7 v2, FHIR, preferably R4, CCD/CCDA, healthcare interoperability, and common integration patterns.
• Hands-on experience with HIPAA, PHI, de-identification, privacy requirements, and healthcare regulatory constraints.
• Production experience integrating LLM APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic, designing RAG architectures, and working with vector databases, embeddings, indexing, SQL, APIs, and backend services.
• A player/coach mindset, strong client-facing communication skills, and the ability to contribute strategically and through code-level technical implementation.
