Part Time PR Consultant (Wellness/Beauty): Securing earned-media placements for hero products, new launches, founder thought leadership, and seasonal gift guides with an accent on personalized pitching, media relationships, and editorial planning. Focus on developing founder bylines, monitoring FDA/DSHEA disease-claim risks, measuring coverage performance, and packaging placements for reuse across content and creator marketing.
Location: Remote in the United States; LA or NYC-based candidates, or candidates with strong LA/NYC media relationships, are preferred.
Salary: $3,000 monthly retainer, plus a monthly product stipend.

What you will do
- Secure one major earned-media placement each month tied to the brand story, founder, or hero products.
- Send five personalized pitches each week to a curated media list and manage product sampling for press, podcast hosts, and tastemakers.
- Build and maintain an editorial calendar around seasonal wellness moments, holiday gifting, awards, and best-of roundups.
- Develop relationships with tier-1 and tier-2 wellness, lifestyle, and beauty press, as well as podcast hosts.
- Source founder byline opportunities and report monthly on placements, impressions/UVM, sentiment, share of voice, pitches, response rates, and reasons for passes.
- Package each placement with a pull quote, logo asset, and link for delivery to the content team within 48 hours.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of consumer PR experience with a proven earned-media portfolio.
- Current relationships with tier-1 and tier-2 wellness, lifestyle, and beauty press, podcast hosts, and gift guide or awards editors.
- Strong personalized pitch writing, editorial calendar planning, and founder byline development skills.
- Working knowledge of FDA/DSHEA structure-function claim rules and the ability to flag disease-claim risks before coverage runs.
- Remote work within the United States; LA or NYC base or strong LA/NYC media relationships preferred.
