Location: Morristown, NJ, USA; onsite

Salary: $75,000–$200,000 annual

What you will do

• Build working relationships with company personnel, retail agents, insurance brokers, carriers, producers, and other departments.
• Review applications, inspection reports, insurance maps, medical reports, and other documents to evaluate risk and accept or reject risks according to company guidelines.
• Analyze and underwrite new and renewal submissions, exposures, premium rates, terms, and profitability.
• Prepare written indications, quotes, and binders; request additional information and use inspection companies when needed.
• Process new business efficiently, support retention, and contribute to incremental sales and book-of-business growth.
• Use binding authorities or broker risks when required to negotiate successful placements, while completing assigned courses, designations, and licensing examinations.

Requirements

• Valid Property & Casualty license.
• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent industry experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional telephone demeanor and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• 0–5 years of experience in a similar position.
