Senior Ocean Planning Associate

Location: Onsite in the Bangkok office, Thailand

What you will do

• Manage the full shipment planning and booking cycle, including forecasting, allocation control, and SO release.
• Coordinate with Account Management, Procurement, Allocation & Yield, and carrier offices to secure capacity and protect critical shipments.
• Maintain space visibility and sailing schedules in hirify.global systems, including FFA and FMT, while optimizing utilization.
• Resolve booking exceptions, space shortfalls, service disruptions, equipment issues, and rollovers through carrier relationships.
• Monitor carrier KPIs such as on-time performance, equipment availability, and service quality.
• Identify workflow gaps, share market and seasonal insights, and partner with Product and Engineering on planning tools and automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5–7 years of experience in freight forwarding, ocean carrier operations, or logistics planning.
• Experience working with carrier local offices or in a carrier customer service role.
• Strong understanding of TPEB tradelanes, allocation cycles, and equipment control.
• Excellent communication skills in both Thai and English.
• Detail-oriented, organized, calm under pressure, proactive, and data-driven.
