Mortgage Loan Officer-Retail

Location: Onsite in Macon, Georgia only

What you will do

• Develop internal and external referral sources to grow mortgage loan business.
• Advise customers on mortgage loan options and other financial products using consultative selling techniques.
• Support customers from loan approval through closing by securing and verifying information required for underwriting.
• Guide customers through loan applications and maintain long-term client relationships.
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell financial products and services.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of mortgage loan origination experience, preferably in a bank.
• NMLS license.
• Knowledge of mortgage procedures, documentation, and underwriting guidelines.
• Current authorization to work full-time in the United States is required; immigration sponsorship is not available.
• Effective written and verbal communication, organization, multitasking, and PC and internet skills.

Nice to have

• Existing pipeline and book of business.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Knowledge of conventional, FHA/VA, construction lending, and portfolio mortgage programs.
