Senior Software Development Manager (Golang)

Location: Flexible hybrid workplace with remote work or one of the company's offices; brand new office in Newmarket, Auckland. Remote work from anywhere in the world is available for up to 60 days per year.

What you will do

• Lead engineers directly and through managers across multiple engineering teams.
• Coach and develop engineering leaders and create clarity through expectations, feedback, and growth opportunities.
• Partner with Product and Design to align strategy, roadmaps, and delivery.
• Remove blockers, manage risks, and support reliable execution.
• Stay technically engaged through system design, code reviews, and hands-on Golang where useful.
• Improve engineering quality, reliability, continuous delivery, and technical decision-making across the organization.

Requirements

• Experience leading and developing high-performing engineering teams, including people leaders.
• Strong technical foundation and hands-on software engineering experience.
• Experience delivering complex software or SaaS products across multiple teams.
• Track record of providing clear feedback and helping people grow.
• Good judgment, confidence, and comfort adapting to evolving priorities, teams, and technology.
• Collaborative approach to working with Product, Design, and other stakeholders.
