Mid-Level Network Security Engineer (Firewalls/Micro-Segmentation): Maintaining and securing enterprise network infrastructure through firewall management, segmentation rules, and production operations with an accent on NSX-T/VCF9, Palo Alto, Fortinet, and security compliance. Focus on diagnosing incidents, optimizing and automating firewall policies, maintaining high availability, and implementing micro-segmentation in complex production environments.
Location: Lisbon, Portugal; hybrid work. Candidates must already have the legal right to work in the European Union.

What you will do
- Diagnose malfunctions, resolve traffic flow blockages, and maintain high availability of security infrastructure in line with SLAs.
- Implement, code, and optimize firewall policies and network segmentation rules using industry best practices.
- Manage micro-segmentation in a complex production environment using NSX-T / VCF9, Palo Alto, and Fortinet.
- Provide subject-matter expertise, guidance, training, and compliance verification against IT security standards.
- Collaborate with technical teams across IT and infrastructure domains to maintain holistic security management.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in network security and IT production operations, including incidents, requests, changes, and documentation.
- Hands-on experience with NSX-T / VCF9, Palo Alto, and Fortinet.
- Practical experience coding and implementing firewall rules and micro-segmentation policies.
- Fluent English plus fluent French or Portuguese is required.
- Existing legal right to work in the European Union is required.
Nice to have
- Incident and change management experience aligned with ITIL methodologies.
- Firewall rule optimization and automation skills.
- Experience with SLA and QoS management.
