TL;DR

What you will do

  • Mark out materials and prepare welds to specified tolerances.
  • Fabricate and weld mining equipment components, including chutes and buckets, from engineering drawings.
  • Refurbish and repair returned mining equipment.
  • Operate rollers, presses, bevelling tools, and other fabrication equipment safely.
  • Perform welding, grinding, cutting, and drilling, and complete production and technical documentation.
  • Participate in safety meetings, report hazards, and support continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade.
  • Experience as a Boilermaker/Welder in heavy fabrication or industrial manufacturing.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with welding, grinding, cutting, and fabrication processes.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Nice to have

  • Forklift licence.
  • Dogman, rigging, or working-at-heights tickets.
  • Experience operating pressing, rolling, or bevelling equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
