Staff Software Engineer, AI Tooling (Information Security)

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate the AI tooling platform used by employees across the organization.
• Develop AI-powered applications, internal tools, integrations, dashboards, and workflow automation.
• Build ad hoc tools for incident response, threat hunting, remediation, and security scanning.
• Build, monitor, and maintain Kubernetes clusters, serverless workloads, ETL pipelines, and terabyte-scale log infrastructure.
• Partner with engineering teams to automate patching and develop gateways and services that reduce security risk.
• Mentor and support the growth of other software engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of relevant software engineering experience and experience with production codebases.
• Experience with at least one scripting language, such as Python, and one systems programming language, such as Golang or C/C++.
• Experience with modern cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, serverless workloads, and Kubernetes.
• Ability to work autonomously, deliver high-quality projects on time, and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Must be based in Melbourne or Sydney.
