What you will do

• Develop and maintain shader pipelines serving multiple game development disciplines.
• Create and optimize shader and master materials with Unreal Engine’s node-based shader graph and HLSL, GLSL, and CG code.
• Establish artistic and technical shader standards with development teams.
• Develop shaders, shading validation tools, and approaches to complex technical and creative challenges.
• Profile performance, identify inefficient content pipelines, and optimize shaders for visual fidelity and target frame rates.

Requirements

• 4 years of Technical Art experience or 2 or more shipped titles.
• Proficiency with stylized and PBR shaders, node-based shader editors, tiled layered material systems, shader networks, procedural texturing, and HLSL.
• Understanding of textures, shaders, and physically based rendering pipelines.
• Experience with UE5, Substance Designer, Substance Painter, Photoshop, modeling, baking, and texturing.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate across disciplines.

Nice to have

• Experience with Unreal Engine’s node-based shader graph.
• Understanding of shader scaling and optimization for console, PC, and mobile platforms.
