What you will do
- Supervise staff handling commercial auto and commercial general liability claims.
- Monitor staffing needs, mentor employees, and support staff development.
- Investigate and settle commercial auto and commercial general liability claims.
- Review and prepare written status and large-loss reports for clients.
- Attend mediations and settlement conferences and work with counsel on litigated claims.
- Communicate effectively with staff, management, clients, regulatory agencies, and other customers.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience in a supervisory role.
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
- Ability to analyze technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, and business stakeholders.
- Ability to present information effectively to senior management and clients.
- Knowledge of applicable case law, statutory law, and Department of Insurance regulations related to claims practices.
