TL;DR
Senior Full Stack Engineer (Gen AI) (LLM agents/RAG): Building and extending a production AI assistant embedded across Optibus product applications with an accent on agent design, retrieval quality, and full-stack integrations. Focus on implementing tool-calling workflows, developing evaluation and observability systems, integrating shared modules into multiple frontend stacks, and operating AWS-based LLM services.
Location: Israel; hybrid work with three days per week in the office

What you will do
- Design and evolve production LLM agents with tool use, routing, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
- Implement product integrations through internal APIs and MCP servers with multi-tenant context.
- Develop the RAG pipeline, including ingestion, embeddings, vector search, and reranking.
- Define integration contracts and shared remote modules for assistants embedded in product UIs using different frontend stacks.
- Build evaluators, CI evaluation gates, trace-based debugging, and feedback workflows.
- Operate LLM-backed services, including deployments, observability, performance, cost management, and AI-specific engineering practices.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong TypeScript experience across backend, frontend, and agent development.
- Experience with modern UI frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue, plus JavaScript and modern React fundamentals.
- At least 3 years of production backend development with Node.js.
- Production experience building LLM applications, including prompt engineering, agent and tool-calling design, and RAG.
- Experience with agent frameworks, vector databases, semantic search, AWS, REST APIs, WebSockets, authentication, Docker, and CI/CD.
Nice to have
- Python for data and ingestion pipelines.
- MCP, LLM observability and evaluation platforms, or Module Federation.
- Experience designing APIs or SDKs for multiple client teams, infrastructure as code with AWS CDK or Pulumi, and B2B SaaS with multi-tenant context.
- Interest in public transportation.
