Senior Backend QA

Location: Hybrid role based in Málaga office, Spain

Overview

Ensure the quality and reliability of backend applications and APIs through thorough testing and proactive issue identification. Collaborate closely with developers and support integration with third-party exchanges and brokers.

What you will do

• Test backend applications and APIs for functionality, reliability, and performance
• Analyze and troubleshoot issues using application logs
• Document and track bugs and improvements using Jira and Confluence
• Collaborate with developers and teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues
• Use curl and Postman to verify API endpoints and behaviors
• Support integration testing with third-party exchanges and brokers

Requirements

• At least 1 year of QA experience focusing on backend or API testing
• English: B1 level or higher
• Basic knowledge of Linux and command-line usage
• Strong skills in testing HTTP APIs and understanding of HTTP protocol
• Experience with application logs, Jira, Confluence, curl, and Postman

Nice to have

• Basic proficiency in Python programming
• Experience or knowledge of finance and trading
• Familiarity with hirify.global platform
