Director, Technology Operations (AIOps): Setting the strategy and governance for IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, security, SaaS, disaster recovery, and business continuity with an accent on investment roadmaps, risk management, compliance, and executive accountability. Focus on governing recovery architecture, optimizing cloud-first infrastructure, managing technology budgets and vendors, and developing senior technology leaders.
Location: Nairobi, Nairobi County, Kenya; hybrid working model

What you will do
- Set and govern the infrastructure strategy, investment roadmap, cloud-first direction, data centre investments, hardware refreshes, and network architecture.
- Oversee domain security, certificate management, SaaS governance, vendor strategy, procurement, service levels, and end-user experience.
- Own the IT disaster recovery and business continuity posture, including recovery strategies, RTO/RPO targets, and recovery architecture investments.
- Establish governance, risk, and compliance standards for IT Operations and Automation, ensuring regulatory adherence and audit readiness.
- Champion AIOps, intelligent automation, and cloud-native innovation from idea through implementation.
- Lead Technology Operations Managers, define the workforce and capability strategy, and develop future technology leaders.
Requirements
- Extensive senior leadership experience in IT operations, infrastructure, or technology operations, including P&L and budget ownership.
- Experience setting organization-level technology strategies and investment roadmaps.
- Deep expertise in infrastructure, cloud platforms, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
- Strong governance, risk, compliance, regulatory, audit-readiness, vendor management, and technology procurement experience.
- Strong people leadership and experience developing senior managers and organizational capability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, plus 10+ years of IT operations or infrastructure experience, including 3+ years in senior leadership.

- Experience with AIOps and intelligent automation platforms.
- Experience leading IT operations in a global, distributed organization.
- Experience with cloud financial management and FinOps.
