TL;DR
Data Analyst (SQL/DBT): Building and maintaining business reports, dashboards, data models, and visualizations that turn operational data into actionable insights with an accent on data quality, business intelligence, and stakeholder communication. Focus on writing DBT transformations, investigating data inaccuracies, applying governance controls, and presenting trends and recommendations clearly.

What you will do
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards that answer business questions and track KPIs.
- Analyze trends, patterns, outliers, and data discrepancies, then recommend initial actions.
- Investigate data inaccuracies and coordinate corrections with data engineers.
- Apply data quality checks, document issues, and follow data governance procedures.
- Build basic data models and write DBT scripts for filtering, aggregation, and table joins.
- Create effective data visualizations and document their sources and preparation steps.
Requirements
- Good understanding of data analytics, data visualization, and business intelligence tools.
- Proficiency in SQL and advanced spreadsheet skills, including pivot tables, index-match, and macros or Google Apps Script.
- Experience creating dashboards and reports with QuickSight, Tableau, or similar tools.
- Understanding of data modelling principles and experience writing DBT scripts for basic transformations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Business, Economics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2–4 years of experience in data analysis and strong communication skills for presenting findings to stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience with DBT or similar data transformation tools.
- Exposure to Python for data analysis.
- Familiarity with data governance practices.
