Data Engineer (Fintech)

Location: US - Bellevue, WA; hybrid work with at least 3 days in the office. Travel required 5–10% of the time.

Salary: $152,200–$243,700 USD per year, with potential bonus and equity eligibility.

What you will do

• Design and evolve the data platform for reliability, cost efficiency, and scalability.
• Implement and optimize high-performance batch and streaming data services and pipelines.
• Support production file- and event-based systems through monitoring, on-call incident response, and continuous improvement.
• Participate in code and design reviews, applying testing, security, and observability best practices.
• Collaborate with partner teams and internal customers to deliver end-to-end data products.
• Reduce technical debt and simplify systems through clean interfaces and consistent patterns.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience with an advanced degree or PhD.
• Cloud computing experience, preferably with Azure or AWS, including hybrid designs.
• Proficiency in Golang or Python.
• Strong software engineering background building distributed systems at scale.
• Experience with modern streaming processing, strong SQL, and data platform tooling.
• Production experience with Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Airflow or similar orchestration, observability tools, Git/GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
