Commerce Reporter

Location: 30 Rockefeller Plaza, New York, United States; hybrid schedule with office attendance required at least four days per week.

Salary: $65,000–$80,000 per year.

What you will do

• Pitch, report, write, produce, and update commerce journalism, including buying guides, product reviews, tested roundups, explainers, sales coverage, trends, and service stories.
• Develop expertise in assigned consumer categories and identify relevant products, topics, and consumer behaviors.
• Interview experts and use primary sources, research, and trusted data to create clear purchasing guidance.
• Test and evaluate products according to consistent editorial standards while building a distinct editorial voice.
• Coordinate coverage with editorial, audience development, social, video, visual, newsletter, and production teams.
• Adapt reporting for articles, newsletters, social video, livestreams, television, streaming programming, and other formats.

Requirements

• At least three years of professional reporting and writing experience for a digital publisher, news organization, or major consumer content destination.
• At least one year of experience producing commerce, product review, service, or affiliate editorial content.
• Experience interviewing experts and using research, primary sources, and data to support consumer guidance.
• Strong ability to write clear, concise, engaging copy under deadline and manage multiple assignments and updates.
• Experience with product testing, reviews, or comparative product research.
• Unrestricted employment authorization to work in the United States is required.
