2D Animation Apprentice (After Effects)

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; in-office work is guided at 2–3 days per week in 2026

What you will do

• Bring designs and storyboards to life through 2D animation for diverse client projects.
• Apply motion principles such as timing, weight, and smooth transitions.
• Deliver high-quality animated segments using Adobe After Effects.
• Collaborate with creative and technical artists while developing animation skills and responsibility.

Requirements

• Must be able to work in the Netherlands at the Amsterdam hirify.global office.
• Commit to six months of full-time work.
• Have basic knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Demonstrate curiosity, willingness to learn, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic.
• Show a developing sense of style, taste, visual thinking, and a distinct creative perspective.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Cavalry or Rive.
• Experience as a recent graduate, self-taught artist, or through another relevant path.
• An updated website, project breakdowns, and accompanying reels.
