2D Animation Apprentice (After Effects)

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; hybrid office work with guidance of 2–3 days per week in the office

What you will do

• Execute and develop 2D animation for diverse client projects.
• Bring designs and storyboards to life primarily using After Effects.
• Apply motion principles including timing, weight, and smooth transitions.
• Deliver high-quality animated segments.
• Collaborate with experienced artists and creative teams while developing skills and responsibility.

Requirements

• Six-month, full-time commitment.
• Must be able to work in the Netherlands at the Amsterdam hirify.global office.
• Basic knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Passion for developing animation skills, curiosity, willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.
• A developing sense of style, taste, visual thinking, and a distinct creative perspective.

Nice to have

• Experience as an animator or artist; recent graduates and self-taught artists are welcome.
• Knowledge of Cavalry or Rive.
• Updated portfolio website, project breakdowns, and accompanying reels.
