Chief Technology Officer (CTO) (B2B SaaS/IoT)

Location: Hybrid with regular presence at hirify.global headquarters in Riga, Latvia. Work outside Latvia is permitted for up to 90 days per year.

Salary: From EUR 7,000 gross per month, plus a long-term performance-based incentive tied to company results.

What you will do

• Define technology strategy, investment priorities, roadmaps, OKRs, and budgets in partnership with the executive team.
• Lead a 50+ person, multi-team engineering organization through engineering leaders and develop scalable management structures.
• Own the technical direction, architecture, modernization, platform evolution, and delivery effectiveness of a mature multi-product SaaS platform.
• Improve reliability, observability, security, incident response, service ownership, and operational architecture across production systems.
• Establish responsible AI-assisted development and identify AI-enabled customer opportunities with a path to commercial value.
• Lead technology due diligence and post-acquisition integration decisions, while representing technology in executive and board discussions.

Requirements

• Experience leading a multi-team engineering organization in a commercial B2B SaaS company through growth, modernization, or organizational change.
• Experience building and coaching engineering managers and senior technical leaders.
• Strong architectural judgment across data-intensive systems, APIs, integrations, and reliable production services.
• Accountability for availability, observability, incident response, security, and technical risk in production systems.
• Commercial judgment in technology portfolio decisions, including investing, simplifying, buying, migrating, or retiring systems.
• Fluent English required for collaboration with colleagues, customers, and partners across multiple European countries.

Nice to have

• Experience with IoT, M2M, telematics, hardware-connected software, or distributed systems interacting with physical assets.
• High-volume telemetry, event processing, analytics, or data platforms experience.
• Transport, logistics, fleet management, regulated software, private cloud, on-premises, or hybrid infrastructure experience.
• Technical due diligence, post-acquisition integration, AI-assisted engineering, or commercial AI/data product experience.
