Security Solutions Engineer (Cloud Security)

Nebius is building a full-stack AI cloud platform for data processing, model training, and production deployment, with engineering hubs across Europe, the UK, North America, and Israel.

What you will do

• Define security solution requirements based on customer expectations, regulatory drivers, and threat models.
• Research the market and assess vendors across CSPM/CNAPP, DLP, IAM/IGA, EDR/XDR, data security, Kubernetes security, and AI/ML security.
• Design and lead technical Proof-of-Concepts with objective test plans, attack scenarios, and quantitative success metrics.
• Build isolated cloud and Kubernetes test environments using VPCs, test data, infrastructure as code, and representative workloads.
• Analyze solution effectiveness, including feature coverage and false-positive or false-negative rates, and document findings.
• Present data-driven recommendations and coordinate integration planning with Security Engineering, Platform/Infrastructure, and DevOps.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Security Engineering, Security Architecture, or Security Research focused on solution validation and vendor management.
• Deep knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP security models, Kubernetes and containers, network segmentation, IaC scanning, least privilege, identity-centric security, and confidential computing.
• Strong scripting or programming skills in Python, Go, or similar languages for PoC automation, test harnesses, APIs, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on architecture, deployment, and testing experience with at least two enterprise-grade security tools.
• Proven ability to plan and execute complex PoCs and define quantitative success criteria.
• Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical findings as business risks and recommendations.

• Experience in cloud-heavy companies or compliance-focused industries.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001, SOC 2, or GDPR.
• CISSP, CCSK, or relevant AWS, GCP, or Azure security certifications.
• Contributions to security standards, open-source tools, talks, or publications.
